About Al Fanoos International School

Our Story Since 2008

Al Fanoos International School

Al Fanoos International School was established in April 2008 under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, Saudi Arabia (LIC No: 520-4086 / 520-4087). Located in Wadi Al Dawasir, Riyadh Region, the school provides value-based quality Cambridge IGCSE education for the expatriate community at an affordable cost.

We are registered with Cambridge Assessment International Education as an attached centre to the British Council Riyadh under centre numbers SA 750 (Boys) and SX 750 (Girls), approved to offer Cambridge Primary Checkpoint (Grades 1–6) and Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint (Grades 7–8).

The school authorities strongly believe that education is meant not only for imparting knowledge, but for the overall development of the individual — preparing students who are physically sound, mentally mature, psychologically balanced, morally good, and socially useful.

Chairman's Message

"The lessons we learn outside the classroom are more important than the ones we learn inside. Al Fanoos International School reflects a desire to ensure that every child is happy and content in his/her learning. It is an educational brand where children really excel — where they become confident individuals, righteous citizens and lifelong learners."

Our teaching process fosters self-directed learning. We believe that children have specific, individual needs and we work diligently to find the best methods for reaching each child. Our daily schedule offers opportunities for learning through play and enquiry, with a focus on literacy, mathematics, science, independence and self-esteem.

I believe learning is a life-long process. For one to be successful in today's fast-paced, competitive and ever-changing world, one must be proactive — gaining new skills and knowledge through every experience. Knowledge gained in school remains contemporary; it equips our students to be more mature, independent, and confident in handling future changes and challenges.

Principal's Message

"We are dedicated to providing children with positive early experiences to create a community of lifelong learners. Education is the development of human personality in all its dimensions — intellectual, physical, social, ethical and emotional. This can be achieved only through the collective efforts of all members of the institution."

Our mission is to be recognised as a standard institution of academic excellence. We strive for it through a dedicated and qualified staff. Together we are committed to our school's mission and vision and will continue to aspire for it.

We design our curriculum to strengthen students' learning capacities through cognitive exercises. We look forward to nurturing the passions and strengths of each child, protecting their emotional wellbeing, and providing a secure and stimulating environment for personal and academic growth. Our wide range of hands-on, meaningful learning experiences stimulate young minds and foster the love of learning.
